HRT 3- Heidelberg Engineering

Heidelberg Retina Tomography – HRT 3:

The HRT is a confocal laser scanning system designed for capturing and analyzing three-dimensional images of the posterior segment of the eye. It allows us to perform a quantitative evaluation of the topography of eye structures, mainly of retinal topography, as well as to accurately monitor topological changes. The most common application is the determination of the glaucomatous optic nerve head, the analysis of macular holes and macular edema and the analysis of nerve fiber layer defects. The three-dimensional topographical image of the retina is created by combining all the images resulting from laser scanning the retina within 24 milliseconds.
