It is the \u201ccenter\u201d of our optic field, which we use to focus on objects and to see even the finest details.\r\n\r\nConditions of the macula and fundus usually manifest themselves through impaired central or peripheral vision, with the alteration of the shape of objects and even with the total loss of parts of the visual field.\r\n\r\nEarly diagnosis of conditions of the macula and fundus is of the utmost importance.
